This series brings together pediatric palliative care providers and voices from equity-deserving communities to explore how care is delivered, where it falls short, and how it can be reimagined. Through honest conversations and lived experience, each episode offers critical reflections on the current system and meaningful insights into how pediatric palliative care can become more inclusive, culturally safe, and responsive to the needs of all families.

In the second part of this five part series, Rachel Neufeld chats with Rachel Martens about accessing Children’s palliative care in the context of disability. Rachel makes her home out in Calgary, Alberta where she spends her time with her spouse of over 20 years. She works as a knowledge broker, science communicator and storyteller. Sharing her experiences in healthcare and in the disability community to aid in the advancement of various areas of healthcare, research and policy.
